Individual Investors

People choose not to invest for a number of reasons. Some may be overwhelmed by the amount of individual equity and/or fixed income securities available. Others may be concerned about the impact of market volatility on their investments. And then there are those who simply don't have the time to manage a portfolio of investments.
Ryan Beck can help with a wide selection of mutual funds that provide investors with a "pool" of securities in one investment. Mutual funds can offer clients a cost effective way of investing in a diverse range of sectors, investment types (fixed income and equities) and others that will seek to balance overall risk, while helping to greatly reduce their management time.
A mutual fund is an actively managed investment company that pools money from individuals and institutions that share a common financial goal. Professional money managers buy a portfolio of securities they think will help investors reach their financial objectives. Investors buy shares of the mutual fund, each share representing proportional ownership in all the fund's underlying securities.
At Ryan Beck, our Financial Consultants have the knowledge and experience to create solutions tailored to your individual needs. They have access to products from the largest fund families in the industry. To find out more, contact Ryan Beck.
Many mutual funds offer discounts on front-end sales charges or loads for larger investments. The investment levels at which the discounts become available are called "breakpoints." The NASD has an "Investor Alert" posted on its website to help investors better understand what breakpoints are and to alert them that investors may have not received certain breakpoint discounts.
